About

My research interests are centred on the movement of water through the environment and how these processes can create benefits and risks for society. My research can be divided into four sections. The first considers the fundamental processes and dynamics occurring within hydrological catchments. The second focuses on how catchment processes and dynamics may change under projected climatic change. The third section of research is about diffuse pollution of nitrogen, phosphorus and fine sediment. The final section of research is the development and application of environmental process simulation models. These separate streams of my work feed into to policy and management advice at both the governmental and local NGO levels.
