About
I study ancient Greek philosophy and literature and the mechanisms that facilitated transmission among intellectual communities across geographical, ethnic, and linguistic boundaries. Currently, I am finishing a monograph on Plato's inheritance of Pythagorean philosophical methodology (for Oxford University Press) and starting work on a monograph project which examines the role of Persian thought in the determination of early Greek natural science.
